TINOS

THE SPIRITUAL HEART OF THE CYCLADES

Tinos (Greek: Τήνος) is an Island in the center of the Cyclades, between Andros and Mykonos. Its wild beauty will excite you: rocks eroded by the wind, beaches with deep blue water and traditional Cycladic villages that climb up the beautiful hillsides.

Tinos is the up-and-coming stars of the Greek islands. An ideal place for lovers of nature, architecture, art and Greek traditions, food, hiking, surfing and wild beauty.

Tinos is known for its many excellent restaurants, beautiful beaches and vineyards, the 1000 artistic dovecotes, 52 picturesque villages, and its sculptors and painters, such as Nikolaos Gysis, Yannoulis Chalepas and Nikiforos Lytras. The Church of Panagia Evangelistria with the famous icon of the Virgin Mary is the destination of a yearly pilgrimage on the 15th of August.

Marble craft has a long tradition here: Around the town of Pyrgos are several marble quarries and many sculptors and marble workshops all over the island. It is one of the few places where you find green marble, sought after all around the world since ancient times.

Hike on the old hill paths, relax on a dreamy beach, do mountain climbing on Exomvourgo, boulder in Volax, surf at Kolymbithra, cool off in the endless blue sea – the perfect summer getaway.

Tinos – an island you will never forget and always come back to.
